Pakistan Legal United Society (PLUS) is a non-governmental organization established with the aim of legal empowerment and access to justice for all underserved segments of the society. The organization has recently been established in year 2020 and started its operations in Karachi, Sindh. PLUS aims to legally empower people especially vulnerable communities through pro-bono services which include providing legal information/education/awareness-raising, counseling, facilitation, accompaniment, referrals, documentation assistance, navigating authorities, mediation, negotiation, legal advice, and representation in court. PLUS is one of the leading legal services organizations in Sindh that provides access to legal aid across the spectrum and prioritizes support to women, men, transgender, and children living in poverty or facing disadvantage or discrimination. Alongside individual legal aid, PLUS undertakes strategic litigation, or public interest litigation, as a key part of its advocacy for law and policy reforms to ensure active legal protection of rights. PLUS is committed to work in coordination with Civil Society Organizations, government and non-government legal aid groups, institutions and commissions to enforce and defend the rights of those who face socio-economic challenges in access to legal system and justice.
